#DoctorWho: the unintentionally funny ironic bloviating of dry drunk Peter Capaldi

“It can become a kind of franchise where it’s not a real character at all, but just an amalgam of elements that people think are Doctor Who: a scarf, a bow tie… I wanted to be the actual Doctor Who.” – Peter Capaldi

What, like sunglasses, adolescent wangst about being a good man, dressing in shit clothes which are basically a uniform, pantomime transvestites, black for black’s sake racecasting, mary sue companions, a character literally dressed in a bowtie and scarf, excruciating guitar playing scenes…

Not an amalgam of elements that people think are Doctor Who at all then, eh?

One more year of sub-McCoy shite then hopefully- a big change for the better.

Gallifrey Base stands as a perfect online example of gleichschaltung, thought control and left-wing spin doctoring. It might be for Doctor Who but that just indicates the depths marxists will sink to and the mind control addiction of the SJW PC wanktivists.

Doctor Who as a show is no more now than poisonous fan fiction, and the forum that seeks to support that- and manipulate online reaction to create favourable news stories- is at best a sinister and undeclared commercial attempt to shore up the failing show and at worst outright propaganda to push cultural marxism.

Injustice To The League: Why Justice League Doesn’t Fit Diversity All That Well

Brian from Canada's view on comics

DC comics logo (web)note: this post is a bit long due to the amount of content

Using Cyborg to fulfill the modern Justice League’s need for diversity reveals a very disliked truth about DC and its universe: the core membership of the League is forever set because the team has been, is and always be best when it is the Earth’s mightiest heroes.

Proof of the problem is 90’s series JLA. JLA was a direct response to the problems the team had in print once the direct market took off in the mid-80s: increased sales meant increased chance of more books succeeding, and the first candidates to fill those new titles were the best known properties – which, in the case of DC Comics, meant the leaders of the Justice League of America because they had been on television the most and therefore carried the most recognition in the general market. I have no problem with non-whites playing white characters, once whites start playing non-white characters. Aquaman is like nazi blonde in the comicbooks so it’s unlikely this was an accidental casting choice.

The DC comics are sheltered workshop bad, but their live action films have no interest for me. Less than zero interest. They just don’t have interesting stories to tell, and even though Marvel films are all painful retreads of comicbook stories they at least do everything they can to reinvigorate them. DC just phones it in with the lamest fucking crap in the world.

What DC does really well is translate non-wrecked fragments of their comicbook slop bucket into animated films. Their animated offerings are definitely a pleasant jar of cool water in which to drop one’s brain. Other than that- warner comics leave me cold as ice.
