I invented the term Jazzpunk.

i had no idea there was some sort of computer game called Jazzpunk, but I invented the term “jazzpunk” to describe the sort of steampunk-in-the-1920s type adventure in my GOLDEN d20 role playing game back in the early 2000s.


The 1920s were the Jazz Age you see.

See how much more sense it makes as a term for that, than for the computer game?

You can have your own opinion, but not your own facts, and the fact is, we published a series of games, and in the legals inside the cover of every one of them connected to GOLDEN, large as life, “jazzpunk” is TM and (C) … me.

So what?

Well if you publish something you’re meant to check whether anything in it is already someone else’s possession first re: copyright and trademark. That’s all.
